me doing "the thing"

hi there

My name is Lola. I am an actor, playwright, and sometimes-director. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, I was toughened by the winters in Chicago, and I am always inspired by New York City. My new horror-play, CRAVE: or how to freeze the phantasmagoria was a semi-finalist for Northwestern’s 2024 Agnes Nixon Festival and premiered at Northwestern this past spring. CRAVE is a perfect example of the work I am striving to create: it is a strange, uncomfortable, and at-times funny, play about young people facing the fears of the real world for the first time, all through the lens of their art. My work often investigates art's role in our lives. I grew up surrounded by many amazing artists and actors. As an actor, some of my favorite performing credits include: Lobster by Kallan Dana and be mean to me by Sofya-Levitsky Weitz.  I am passionate about supporting young playwrights and performers and will use my platform as a theatre creator and producer to uplift those voices and stories. When I’m not typing away or squinting infront a ring light, I am probably watching "Sex and the City," listening to "Las Culturistas," or spending too much money on a sweet latte.
